Week Seven (Week Five of My First Transfer)
Hello friends!! We have to email super fast because we're leaving for our trip to the Monticello, Utah temple in just a bit so I'm sorry if there are a million typos! Here we go!
Monday was P-day! I watched 17 Miracles for the first time all the way through. Wow that movie is a tear-jerker. I made it the whole way without crying until the last 15 minutes. Typical. I definitely recommend it to all of you though!! A little miracle today was we finally met a man we were referred to a few weeks back. His name is James and he was super friendly. We're excited to go back!
Tuesday was LONG. We talked to lots and lots of people and found zero new investigators, but we had another lesson with Dustriana and she's doing really well! :)
Wednesday was my 1st zone conference (which is kind of like a bigger and longer district meeting. there are 68 missionaries in our zone and our mission president and his wife come to this conference). It was great and I learned a ton! President and Sister Adams are just wonderful. It was also a lot of fun because I got to see some sisters I was in the MTC with!! That night I went on my first exchange (when we switch companions for 24 hours) with our sister training leader, Sister Gillie. She's wonderful too. The mission is FULL of wonderful people.
Thursday Sister Gillie and I did what's called exchange forms, which is basically just a check in on how I'm doing spiritually, emotionally, physically and how I'm adjusting to missionary life and what goals I want to set to be better. It was nice, but also weird to talk about myself for so long. That night we ended exchanges and went back with our companions. It was a good day!
Friday we had weekly planning, which takes about 4 to 5 hours and is SUPER important and also really fun because if you know me, you know I love planning. That night we got to go to the baptism of an 8-year-old in our ward and it was so sweet. It reminded me that I can't wait to hear about how my little brother's baptism in just a few weeks!!
Saturday we were on exchanges again so Sister Withers could go with Sister GIllie. So I was in Bloomfield with Sister Fullilongy. She is amazing!! We scheduled so many return appointments with people, gave out FIVE Book of Mormons, helped a nonmember move, helped a less-active family plant grass, and had a fantastic time together. It was an amazing day!
Sundays are always wonderful. I always love church and today we got to go to young women's which was SO fun. We taught Dustriana again and she's getting so excited for her baptism! AND we had the most amazing breakfast for dinner EVER, courtesy of the Langford family. It was lovely!
I love you all so so much. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Keep on being the wonderful lights you are!!
Love,
Sister Bohman

A scripture I've loved this week...
Ether 12:23-41
In this section, Moroni is in the middle of abridging the plates of Ether and he starts getting really down on himself because of comparison, but the Lord strengthens him and tells him to stop it because everyone has different weaknesses and strengths. What would have happened if Moroni didn't keep writing and abridging because he believed the voice in his head that said he wasn't good enough? We wouldn't have SO MANY amazing scriptures. Stop being distracted by comparison and see what the Lord sees in you. He called YOU to wherever you are and whatever you are doing for a reason. If you don't feel like you can do it, He WILL make you strong. Lean on Him and believe His promises. He believes in you and I believe in you!!
