Week Eight

Hello friends!! This week has been so good! Let me tell you more...

MONDAY. We had a temple trip to Monticello and it was amazing! It was just us missionaries in the temple and it was so special to be there all together. It was really hard to get myself to leave because I just wanted to stay in the peace of the temple forever! The temple really is a heaven on earth. The senior missionary couple that drove Sister Withers and me the Monticello, Elder and Sister Dugger, were so great. It was so much fun to hear their stories on the way to and from the temple! :)

TUESDAY. We made cookies for our new bishopric (oh yeah, we got a new bishopric last Sunday!) with our ward mission leader's wife, Sister Holiday. It was so much fun and they were DELICIOUS. We tried to be really sneaky dropping them off to everyone, but every single family caught us! It's all good though, it was still fun! That night we had a lesson with another 9 year old, Cade, and we put him on date to be baptized November 25th! That might change though because we hadn't realized that that was Thanksgiving weekend... It's so fun to teach all these kids though!! They're all so sweet. And it helps us practice teaching simply!

WEDNESDAY. Today we talked to a lot of people, taught 2 lessons, and got to serve at the senior center again! The senior center is always fun and the 2 lessons were great. One was with our new convert, Erika, and we helped her get set up on family search.org and it was so exciting! Our other lesson was with a less active family and we put their 9 year old son on date for baptism on December 2nd! (That's my little brother, DJ's birthday!!) That means we have THREE investigators on date!! That's amazing!

THURSDAY. We had a mini testimony meeting with our district and it was so powerful. I love my district!! Bearing testimony is so amazing as well because as you say what you know or believe, it always becomes solidified in your heart. That's probably why missionaries' testimonies are strengthened so much--they bear them all the time! We also had another great lesson tonight with a less active couple. They are working towards being sealed in the temple! We taught about patriarchal blessings and now Brother King is scheduled to meet with the bishop about his on Tuesday! We're so excited!!

FRIDAY. We had weekly planning most of the day and also had our interviews with President Adams, which we do once every 6 weeks.  It's always great to see President and Sister Adams!

SATURDAY. We got to be a part of a Mini-MTC for the youth in the Farmington stake. Each missionary was paired up with a 16 to 18 year old to be companions for the day and with them we taught the Restoration and Book of Mormon 5 time and learned about being a missionary. My companion, Sister Bentley, was so wonderful. She is going to be an absolutely outstanding missionary someday and I was so amazed by her confidence and strength of testimony at just 17 years old! I love her a lot!! It was so much fun to get to sort of mentor a prospective missionary, but I think I may have benefited more from it than Sister Bentley did! It was a fantastic day and I'm so glad Sister Withers and I were invited to participate!

SUNDAY. Today was the primary program! It was SO sweet. There is definitely a reason the scriptures tell us to become as little children. Their spirits shined so brightly as they sang their testimonies today!! Sister Withers and I also got to teach a class today at church and the topic was... missionary work! It was really fun :)

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for and support us missionaries. You all mean the world and more to me and I love you so much!!

Lots of love,
Sister Bohman

A scripture I've been loving...
2 Nephi 26:23-33. Christ denies none that come unto Him. We, as His disciples, should have that same love and compassion for everyone we meet!!
