Bloomfield Week Seventeen

Hello, friends!! I'm tired of talking about me. So all I'm saying in this email is how are YOU??

Just kidding, I know my mom would be upset if I didn't give you a real update so here's this week in bullets...

-I had 48 consecutive hours of exchanges in a row with the Farmington YSA sisters (the sisters that live in the single's ward). It was so much fun! Those sisters are incredible. (Side note: miracles ALWAYS happen on exchanges. There's something magic that happens when you put sisters that don't actually know each other at all together in an area for a whole day. We had FIVE investigators at Institute!! The young single adult scripture study class. That's INSANE!! Exchange miracles.)

-We got to help a lady move houses and she said she was not interested in hearing a message, but we still helped her (because we NEVER turn down an opportunity to serve--they're TOO good!) and after that first day of helping her, we got an alert on our phone saying she had gone to mormon.org and requested a Book of Mormon! How neat is that?? Her heart softened because of the service, and it made her more open to learning more. So the next day we brought her a Book of Mormon and she said she wanted it so she could read it and "find things out for herself". How great!!!

-On Thursday, we contacted a referral from some of the elders that serve right next to our area. They had been knocking on doors and had met this one guy who wasn't interested, but instead of just leaving they asked him, "We know you're not interested, but is there anyone you know who might appreciate a message about Jesus Christ?" and he gave them an address to his grandparents, who just so happened to be in our area. SO we went and knocked on their door and long story short, they're amazing and are now our newest investigators! It was just kind of neat to me because it reminded me that no effort is wasted. Sometimes even a "no" can open other doors. God is good!

-And THE highlight of the week..... Marius was baptized!! It was such a special day. And then on Sunday he was confirmed and recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost and it was also a testimony meeting at church and it was so, so special because a lot of his family members (who have been less-active for years) went up in front of the congregation and shared their testimonies. There was such a special spirit there as everyone celebrated Marius and this amazing step he has taken in his new life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Marius is basically the greatest 9-year-old ever.

It was a great week! But seriously, I do want to hear how you are all doing!! I love you all!

Lots and lots of love,
Sister Bohman
