Bloomfield Week Twelve

Hello, friends!! This week was amazing. Here's some highlights from everyday...

Monday: We watched the Joseph Smith movie for P-Day and it was SO good. I wish I new what it was called so I could give you a better recommendation. I think it might be the one they show in Salt Lake City. Maybe.

Tuesday: WE FOUND FOUR INVESTIGATORS TODAY!! It was an absolute miracle. At the beginning of the month we always set monthly goals for how many people we're going to find and we got to the last few days of this month and we only had 4 out of the 8 that we were looking for. That's always hard at the end of the month because we pray about our goals and have faith that we'll be able to reach them with the Lord's help and then it seemed like we wouldn't this month. When we said our first prayer together in the morning, we prayed that we would be able to find the people that God intended us to we He lead us to set a goal of 8 investigators and He did! Prayer works. Our new investigators names are Mondina, Candra, Yolanda, and Calvin.

Wednesday: Today we got 2 more investigators!! It was amazing. Both of the lessons we had with them were fantastic. Wow am I excited for Jo and Jessica :) And we exceeded our monthly goal! I'm still in shock that we were lead to 6 investigators in 2 days when the whole rest of the month combined we were only able to find 4. God is good.

Thursday: We had an appointment with ShiBaah today to help her get ready for her baptism interview and it went so well. We're so excited for her!! Her baptism interview was Friday and she said it was an amazing experience. We just love her!

Friday: Besides ShiBaah's great experience in her interview, today was super great because we got to share Light the World (more on that later) with a bunch of families in the ward at their homes. It is such a wonderful message and it always makes me so happy to share it!!

Saturday: We got to go to a Relief Society conference in Kirtland today and sing for their Christmas program. We sang a beautiful arrangement of Away in a Manger and our pianist was out of this world. He was amazing. I actually wasn't planning on singing, but I knew the part because I helped the other sisters learn it so they invited me and Sister Withers to sing too and we (maybe kind of hesitantly) said yes. It was a great experience!

Sunday: Today was stake conference and our mission president and his wife (President and Sister Adams) actually came to speak! It's always such a treat to see them. They are some of the greatest people. And then Sunday night was the Christmas devotional that the first presidency does! Wow I loved that. I don't know if you can find it on lds.org or somewhere else, but I'd definitely recommend it if you weren't able to see it on Sunday!

So Light the World. Light the World is an initiative that the church did last year and is doing again this year (because it's so amazing) where you do a little bit of service every day leading up to Christmas. There's a theme and little videos that you can look up everyday on Mormon.org and it's just the sweetest thing. In the Christmas devotional, President Uchtdorf said something along the lines of how the best way that we could celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ is by doing what He would do. And ALL He ever did/does is service. So please visit Mormon.org to find out how you can follow His example and light the world this Christmas season!!

I love you all so so much!
Sister Bohman

P.S. We got transfer news! The whole trailer family is staying ANOTHER transfer!!! I seriously cannot believe it. It's so uncommon for 4 sisters to stay in the same area for 3 transfers all together, but I'm totally okay with it :) It's going to be a great 6 weeks!!
