Bloomfield Week Fifteen
Hello, friends!! And Merry (late) Christmas!! I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday filled with family and memory-making. :)
This week has FLOWN by! It's honestly been kind of a blur. In easy to ready bullet points, this week included...
- LOTS of sharing #LighttheWorld (the church's Christmas initiative for the year--find out more at https://www.mormon.org/ )
- LOTS of food--from members, investigators, other missionaries... everyone! We had treats coming out of our ears!!
- A beautiful Christmas devotional with all the missionaries in Bloomfield, Aztec, Farmington, and Kirtland. One of my favorite parts was Sister Adams giving a talk on what gifts we can give to the Savior. It was really special!
- SO MANY cancelled appointments because everyone in Bloomfield is getting sick
- Going on exchanges (where we switch companions for a day) with the sisters from the Farmington 6th ward, Sister Higgins and Sister Shepperd. They were both so sweet and so fun! Exchanges always seem to bring lots of miracles--like this week, both sets of us found 2 new investigators in the areas we were working!
- and Christmas! It's so neat to be a missionary during Christmas time because it really reminds you what's important right now. Christmas is all about our Savior and it was such a privilege and joy to be serving Him full time during the celebration of His birth. I love being a missionary!
So it was a wonderful week, made even sweeter by my favorite holiday in the world. AND we got to Skype our families! That was so great. Every day it seems like my family just gets better and better and more and more lovable. I feel so blessed to have each one of them. I'm one lucky sister!!
Thank you for everyone who sent cards and well-wishes. It really does mean the world to me to hear from people back home. I love you all lots and lots!!
-Sister Bohman
