Bloomfield Week Fourteen

SHIBAAH WAS BAPTIZED!!

Saturday was such a beautiful day. ShiBaah's baptism was in the morning and it was absolutely perfect. Her nonmember family came and supported her, the Relief Society room where we had the program was perfectly filled, we had delicious cookies afterwards, the talks were beautiful, and most importantlu, ShiBaah was beautiful. She was just beaming and it was like her whole body was filled with light. It was so so special. I think I felt closer to God at that baptism than I have in a long time because of just being around ShiBaah after she came out of the water. I think it was because she had just made such beautiful promises with Him and was so close to Him herself so it was impossible not to feel that just being in the same room as her. That's the best way I can think to explain how amazing this baptism was. Wow it was just incredible.

That's the biggest news from the week and it was really too amazing to go into anything else. Here's a quick run-down of the rest of the week:
-we had some great lessons with out newest investigator, Jessica, who's preparing for baptism on the 13th. And she came to church yesterday and was probably the most active participant in Relief Society!
-We spent hours and hours wrapping presents with a lady from the chamber of commerce for the giving tree and it was SO fun!!
-our ward Christmas party was on Saturday night and it was great. I just absolutely LOVE the Bloomfield ward; being in this ward feels just like being home. I can't quite explain it, but cleaning up from the party afterwards felt more like cleaning up after family dinner than cleaning up after a big church party.

Basically, it was just an amazing week. I hope you're all doing well and that everyone is enjoying this Christmas time and listening to lots of Pentatonix and Michael Buble and all the other great Christmas music out there. And if you want to make this Christmas time even better, be sure to check out #LighttheWorld on mormon.org. I know it'll bring even more joy into this already wonderful season!!

Lots and lots of love,
Sister Bohman
