Winslow Week Two
Hello, friends!! Week 2 was GREAT! Winslow just gets better and better each week.
Here are just a few of the highlights:
- I got to go back to Farmington for MLC! It was a nice long drive with Sister Turpin. I love her! The whole way there and back we were just talking about the gospel and how absolutely incredible it is AND how amazing it is to be a missionary anywhere, but especially in the New Mexico Farmington Mission. It was way fun!
- MLC was amazing! We talked a lot about Light the World and I am SO excited for it!! I am so grateful for the light that Jesus Christ has brought into my life & I love getting to share that light with other people, especially around Christmas time when people's hearts are so much more open! Find out more at lighttheworld.org :)
- we had more amazing lessons with the Edgmons this week! Alan asked more questions about baptism and started praying about when he should be baptized. The love he has for his family is so beautiful. He would do absolutely anything for Celeste and their baby girl, Ella. That's his biggest motivation for learning the gospel--he wants to take his family to the temple to be sealed together forever. And I know they can get there! I love that family and I'm so happy for them!!
- I met a lot more of the members of the ward this week! Everyone is seriously so kind. The saints here are so good at looking out for each other and they're so compassionate. And generous! This week alone, we were given 8 burritos, 2 dozen snickerdoodles, rice krispie treats, crepes, a loaf of bread, and Carl's Jr (a member was in front of us at the drive thru and paid for our meal!!). I feel so spoiled! But mostly I love them because of how happy they are. It's such a happy bunch!
- helped a few people clean their houses to get ready for Thanksgiving. Anyone that knows me knows that I love cleaning so that was super fun!! And we got to go to Winslow's little Christmas parade! It was really cute!
I am so grateful to be a missionary. I know I say it a lot, but I get more and more grateful each week! The gospel of Jesus Christ is so incredible. It really does change lives. It's changed mine!
Love,
Sister Bohman
