Durango Week Eleven

Hello, friends!! I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter and General Conference weekend. What a wonderful time of year!! :)

BIG MIRACLES of the week... LOUIE IS ON DATE TO BE BAPTIZED IN JUNE!!! We went over and taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was such a great lesson and when we invited him to be baptized he said, "Yes! Yes I will!". He has so much faith and I'm so excited to keep teaching him.

ANOTHER miracle: Our investigator, Daniel, IS ON DATE TO BE BAPTIZED IN MAY!!!! Wowowowowwow. God has just been too good to us this week.

Other than that, we had a couple more great lessons. Probably my favorite was with this man and we were teaching him the Plan of Salvation and the whole time he was like, "Exactly! That's exactly what I was thinking." And it was just a reminder to me that we aren't teaching people new things--we're just reminding them of what they once knew but have forgotten. We're trying to get their spirits to connect with the Holy Spirit so that they can feel the truthfulness of the things we share. It's great to be a missionary.

Saturday and Sunday were so nice because it was General Conference! It was great to get to hear from the leaders of the church, and especially great to hear from Jesus Christ's chosen prophet. I felt the Spirit bear powerful witness to me while he spoke that he IS the Lord's mouthpiece on the earth today. Like so many of you, I love him and sustain him with my whole heart. We are so blessed to live in this time--the fullness of times. I feel grateful to be a missionary during this dispensation of the fullness of Christ's gospel. I am grateful to have a prophet who can stand beside us and point us to our Savior.

Some of the themes I saw over and over during conference, especially on Sunday were love and unity. "It's all about love" was a big theme of one of the talks and it kept coming to my mind throughout the rest of the meetings. I have always felt that. Everything we have, everything we know, it's all about love. It's about God's love for us, a love so great that He would send His only begotten Son. And His Son so loved the world that He broke the bands of death and sin that bind us. Jesus Christ gave everything for us. And I know He would do it again. His love and the Father's love are perfect and eternal. I am so thankful for this Easter season when we can reflect on that great victory. It's ALL about love. Love is the essence of the gospel.

I love my Savior and I love His teachings. I love that I get to share those with my brothers and sisters every day, and that I get to share with them that He did save us and that He is with us until the end. He is with us now.

Lots and lots of love,
Sister Bohman
