I have almost no time for emailing, so I'm going to try and type this up as fast as I can!
Since the last email, I've left the MTC! I'm now in Bloomfield, New Mexico and it is WONDERFUL. My trainer and I are "pink washing", which means that we're both brand new to the area so we don't know anyone, but we have the notes and teaching records from the elders that were here before us and we're figuring it out! It's kind of crazy, but it's a lot of fun and the ward here is amazing so they help a lot! It's a really cute small town about 20 minutes away from Farmington and we love it a lot.
My trainer, Sister Withers, is the best!! She's super sweet and patient and level-headed and I've already learned so much from her! I can already tell it's going to be a great companionship! :)
The last week at the MTC flew by faster than I thought possible, but it was really good! We had some amazing devotionals and we actually got a new teacher which was kind of sad, but he was super great! (And he was in my chemistry class at BYU so that was pretty funny!) We flew out to Farmington in a group of 30 missionaries. It was a little hectic and insane, but we all made it here so I can't complain! Our mission president and his wife are absolutely lovely. They are the kindest people ever and I love them so much!
(I'm so sorry this email is crazy and scattered--there's just so little time!)
Since we've been pink washing, we don't have a ton of investigators yet, but we have met with a lot of people that have so much potential!! One of them is Nizhoni, a 17 year old girl who loves learning and seems pretty interested, and another pair is the Babcocks. We just met them last night and they are the cutest little old couple! They are pretty happy with their religion, but they absolutely love the missionaries and were telling us all about their "boys" last night. Apparently around 10 elders have already spent a good amount of time teaching them. Sister Withers and I are hoping they're finally ready to accept the gospel because they totally seem like it! But anyways, we absolutely love everyone we've met so far. It really is a fantastic area and I can't wait to get to know everyone even better!
A scripture that I've LOVED this week is Doctrine and Covenants 50:40-44. It's given me a lot of comfort and strength!
I love you all so much and absolutely love hearing from you. Please keep me updated on all the exciting (and maybe less exciting) things in your lives!
Love,
Sister Bohman
