Winslow Week Fifteen
Hello, friends!! Another week zoomed right by! I don't know how they keep doing that!
A few highlights from this week...
Exchanges in Holbrook with Sister Linford. She's so great! We went on exchanges my first transfer in Farmington and it's CRAZY that that was over 6 months ago. Time is insane. It was a very good day and we got a lot done. Plus we walked a mile! That's always fun!
Alisha (as always). She told us that she told her mom and sister that she's getting baptized and she was really nervous, but they were super supportive!! Honestly that was such a miracle in and of itself. There have been so many miracles around us teaching Alisha and it's amazing. It's built up my testimony of God's timing 300%.
We almost got dropped by someone we're teaching, Lakota. Key word: almost. She texted us Thursday morning and said she didn't want to continue meeting with us. I can't even describe to you the kind of sinking feeling that that gave me. It's the absolute worst. But we kept our heads on and asked if we could just meet one more time. She said okay. So we went by and testified to her of the power of Jesus Christ and the transformative effect He can have on our lives. It was pure testimony start to finish and guess what? We're going back next week. It will all be okay. :)
I gave my departing testimony at zone conference on Friday. I remember my very first zone conference and their were a few missionaries there who were about to go home and I just thought, "I will never get there. I'll never make it." But I did get there. And I did make it. Because of my Lord and Savior. I was so nervous leading up to it because what do you even say when there's just too much to say? I testified that Jesus Christ is more real than anything, and that He is ALWAYS there for us. It was a really special moment to step back and look at the past 18 months and see how He has completely saved me and changed me and shaped me to be better than I could ever be by myself. I know He lives and He loves and loves and loves. He stands with open arms, ready to receive us, and says, "Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price." Unconditional.
I love Him. So much. I'll close this email with one more highlight: the special musical number at zone conference was spot on. It was an absolutely beautiful song. Here's the best part:
"Oh, Lord, my Redeemer, Thou hast done so much for me. Oh, Lord, my Redeemer, all my love I give to Thee."
Like I said, spot on. It's been replaying in my head nonstop. No complaints. :)
Love,
Sister Bohman
